Ali Webb

In October 2008, Ali won the regional heats of 'Idol08', the UK's third biggest singing competition for under 18s, and progressed to finished in the top 5 of the Grand National Final, held at the Portsmouth Guildhall, in front of nearly 1000 spectators. His piano/vocal performances of Robbie William’s classic track 'Angels' delighted both audience and judges at each level of competition.

Ali has recorded a number of covers at school including songs from the likes of Elton John, which caused quite a stir when played on BBC Hereford & Worcester’s Breakfast Show. Also at this session, Ali produced his first original composition, a collaboration with Sam Hurcomb called 'Wasted Dreams'.The success of this track prompted more original works by the promising partnership with “Nature’s Harmony”, a song inspired by Ali’s grandmother’s battle with cancer. It was his performance of this song which moved members of the panel of judges to tears at the final of Perform on the Pitch, a competition to raise funds for St. Richard’s Hospice, Worcester, which he entered not too long ago, being rewarded with third place. Ali has also started to play local venues, as well as supporting local band 'Shellshock'.
