About Blues Brothers Reloaded
Blues Brothers Reloaded was set up after seeing one too many Blues Brothers ‘tribute acts’. More often than not, these ‘tributes’ would consist of two men, with a backing track, essentially singing karaoke hits from The Blues Brothers film (usually, without the aid of a tune). So, a few like-minded individuals decided that they were on a mission from mediocrity.
In 2010, on the 30th Anniversary of ‘The Blues Brothers’ film (starring John Belushi and Dan Akroyd), they put the band back together. Again. Originally a 10-piece, which began life five years ago, Blues Brothers Reloaded have performed in front of thousands of people at festivals, supported artists as diverse as Rick Astley to Showaddywaddy, sold out theatres for charity events, and toured up and down the country, but have now expanded the band.
This 12-piece ensemble is not an ‘act’ - it’s a theatrical show. There’s a musically tight band, playing blues, jazz, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll, as well as an all-dancing, all-singing duo of Soul Sisters, shaking their tail feathers and straining their vocal chords. And guess what else you’ll see? That’s right; Jake and Elwood Blues.
Blues Brothers Reloaded is a high-kicking, ball-busting, blues-bitching, hard-rocking, nail-biting, cat-fighting, mickey-taking, film-faking, tight-fitting, feet-stomping, dance-crazy, alcohol-hazy, powerhouse performance of a show.
They will get the audience participating, get the crowds dancing, get the adrenaline pumping, and transport you back to downtown Chicago.

DAVID RATTY (Jake) is an award-winning actor, and valuable member of The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group. His idol is John Belushi, so his performance as ‘Joilet’ Jake Blues is uncanny in its realism.
BARNABY EATON-JONES (Elwood) set up Blues Brothers Reloaded as a one-off fund-raising exercise, before it began living a life of its own! He also runs ‘Off The Cuff’; a touring comedy improvisation show, with a first Saturday of every month residency at The 2 Pigs in Cheltenham.
MARTIN VOGWELL (Lead Guitar) is the musical arranger for Blues Brothers Reloaded, as well as providing original music for touring educational productions by The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group.
JAMES HAMBLETT (Rhythm Guitar) was a member of the Gothic Rock band Inkubus Sukkubus, during their World Tour of 2004 and 2005, before he was asked to join Blues Brothers Reloaded.
ROGER SMITH (Bass Guitar) has been playing Bass Guitar for years, hence the nickname ‘Daddy Cool’. He’s a singer/songwriter on two albums with his other band, The Dubious Brothers.
DEAN RHODES (Drums) has played on worldwide-selling CDs with Inkubus Sukkubus and Vampyre Division, and toured the whole of the U.K.
TOM WAKEFIELD (Keyboard) is also a member of The Jazz Badgers, as well as running the Cheltenham-based Furry Feet TV company.
EMMA VOGWELL (Alto Saxophone) is one of the founder members of The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group.
JOE GRIFFITHS (Tenor Saxophone) is also a member of The Jazz Badgers.
IAN BALDWIN (Trumpet) is a teacher, actor and alternate Jake Blues for The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group and Blues Brothers Reloaded.
KIM JONES (Soul Sister) runs The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group, as well as producing and directing key educational and touring productions.
LIZI HOSLER (Soul Sister) is an actress with The OFFSTAGE Theatre Group, as well as a model and dancer.
