Bombdog are a four piece band from Birmingham in the UK. The band formed in 2009 and have been recording and gigging in the West Midlands since then.


The line up consists of Becky Cresswell (vocals, cornet and melodica), Andy Bird (guitars and bouzouki), Phil Truslove (bass) and Sara Turner (drums).
The sound of the band is influenced by a mixture of balkan, mexican and french traditional music and the post rock genre. The ethos of the band is to create beautiful music by weaving together these differing styles into something new. The band play electric and acoustic gigs to highlight the varied styles of their music.
Artists that Bombdog like are Mogwai, Beirut, Sigur Ros, Hawk and a Hacksaw, Labradford, Jacques Brel, Yann Tiersen and Silver Mount Zion.
Recently Bombdog have supported 'The Young Runaways' at The Hare and Hounds and have played at Balkanic Eruption in Birmingham.

The band are fresh from a successful appearances at the Nozstock Festival and the Worcester Music Festival in the summer of 2010.

The band have recently completed their new 4 track e.p. and plan to continue gigging in the Midlands and beyond through 2010-2011. The band are currently attracting attention through podcasts and online radio with their releases.

The four track Chalcedon e.p. features Balkan, French and Mexican influenced tracks and is available on itunes, Spotify, Amazon and Last FM.
