Canntalope

Canntalope were formed in the early part of 2009 in Worcester, UK and practice locally at 'The Session' recording studio in the Barbourne area of Worcester. Having been together for barely a few months, they managed to churn out a staggering 14 completed songs, and were still fastly producing more. The brainchild of Luke Osbourne, former Tragus frontman from Pershore, Canntalope's ever-changing material is very different from most others, and there is definitely a unique style to the way the music has been cleverly created. Canntalope uses the perfect combination of death metal, experimental, industrial, and progressive genres to create innovative heavy metal music. Having only performed a handful of shows to date, Canntalope doesn't yet have the recognition they would like, but is very well celebrated within the local area of Pershore.
Canntalope has been noticed by BBC Hereford & Worcester radio station and hopes to draw the attention of many more people.
The band decided to drop their rhythm guitarist Virgo in the middle of January 2010, as Tommy Layton stepped up to the line as the new member. With this recent change, and a slight tweak in the music genre, the band decided to drop nearly all of their previous tracks and concentrate on new material. The band released their first 5-track EP 'The Glories of Self Mutilation' in May 2010, and are well on the way to writing their second, longer EP.
