East of the sun formed in March 2007. We are a 4-piece originals band from Worcester.

Thank you for reading and giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are ‘East of the Sun’, a hard working bluesy rock band from the midlands. It’s going to be difficult to define ourselves in the mere few words of a ‘blog’ because essentially it is about moments. Some who see us will see the light that comes out of the dark; some will see the darkness in the light. We believe that music, like all life, is about interpretation. Therefore our job is to work on what we can absolutely guarantee, which is that every song is as good as it can be, and that it is always delivered with the conviction and belief we all have in what we do. We take no prisoners and never give anything less than our heart and soul. We hope to see you very soon, and you can tell us what you saw….                                                 
                                                               
Some words on the Music:                                                         
                                                               
The EOTS sound is classic whilst being alive and fresh. Powerful riffage, wandering bass lines, huge Bonhamesc drums and the occasional touch of melancholic and melodic serenity, nestled in like city pigeons amongst a sky-scraping musical soundscape. Take the driving guitar riffs of the 70's, ram them down the throat of today and standing in front of you, you will find EOTS. Lyrically, stories are told, statements are made and the occasional world is put to rights, all delivered by a powerful vocal that has lost a bar fight and been dipped in whisky by way of revival. In short, you WILL like it, you know what you could even bring your folks, and they would like it too. Just don’t be surprised if by the end of the night you're not all stood on the table, tequila in hand shouting at the world to either step up or **** off. Either way, you will know you are alive.
