MaKale

MaKale (Dave Stone and Kath Forty) are a Celtic Folk Rock Duo covering songs by artists such as The Levellers, The Waterboys, Greenday, The Wreckers, Dixie Chicks etc., and various jigs and reels. Dave provides the main vocals, guitar and mandolin, and Kath plays the violin and provides backing vocals. Makale started playing together at open mikes and local music festivals, and are becoming increasingly popular in their home town of Stourport-on-Severn, running a fortnightly open mike at The Old Beams pub, and playing regular gigs around various other local pubs. MaKale are playing at the Bridge Bash Festival in July 2010, and are likely to be running the open mike tent on the Saturday afternoon and, along with a couple of other bands, supporting the main event Ocean Colour Scene.
