About Omnia Opera
Many years ago (1985) some men and women started experimenting , they began to create a sound that took the listener to their own warped dimensions! This warped musical vehicle was known as "Omnia Opera”. This loose collection of inadequate individuals now had a purpose in life!
During the latter part of the 80's and early 90’s they went on to support better known acts like Cardiacs, Here and Now, The Pink Fairies, and Dave Brocks Agents of Chaos and also a million hardcore punk bands of the time! which was nice! Omnia Opera went on to perform in mud baths at god knows what time of the morning at various free festivals.
The indie label ‘Delerium Records’ then persuaded them to record a couple of CD's which were merited with great acclaim from their peers and contemporary’s and exposed the bands music to a global audience and created a solid fan base. The band split up for many years but back in 2006 Omnia Opera pulled themselves out from their state of hibernation and slumber and have since been playing gigs to delighted audiences (see feedback on Myspace page) and went on to support ‘Hawkwind’ at their 2008 Wolverhampton Gig and a currently working on the release of a new album.
