About The Ely Plains
The Ely plains came together in the spring of 2008 with the aim to write and play their own mix of alternative old timey folk n country music, inspired by the likes of Woody Guthrie, The Carter Family, Hank Williams, The Band and Bob Dylan. The Ely’s have built a steady following playing some of London’s best Americana and acoustic clubs such as What’s Cookin’, Honky Tonkin’ Sundays and Hankdogs Easycome club.
The Ely’s played various 2009 summer festival dates including the the Superb Burnham Folkfest. After a bunch of February dates the Ely’s are planning to hole up and record their debut album, before heading back out on the summer festival circuit.
