The Housewives

The Housewives have toured all around the UK, supporting the likes of Young Knives, Bloc Party and Belle and Sebastian. After a massive showcase in Berlin last year, they're planning a full tour of Germany soon.
They've also taken their set onto the airwaves with an acoustic appearance on Absolute Radio.
The band has also bothered broadcasters before. They've been featured artists on BBC 6 Music's Introducing..., appeared on regional BBC and commercial stations around the UK and made it onto playlists in Europe, America and New Zealand.

The band has released two singles. Debut 7" 'Getaway' sold out of Rough Trade Records twice and the follow-up 'Cream' on cult indie label Filthy Little Angels performed well, getting great reviews on and offline. They've also contributed three covers to FLA’s seasonal compilations, and covered Kraftwerk's 'The Model' for French label Winter Records. They've just released a download-only version of live favourite ‘2.4’, which 6 Music's Tom Robinson described as a "cheerfully illicit romp".

Along the way, the band have been Ones to Watch in Clash magazine, had Artrocker sing their praises and were featured on the cover of Dutch magazine IKRS. They've also been interviewed and reviewed by lots of zines.
