The Peppermint Hunting Lodge
About The Peppermint Hunting Lodge
We are The Peppermint Hunting Lodge, a six piece ultra energetic whose music spins across a variety of genres. Our sound has been likened to such bands as ‘At The Drive In’ and ‘The Cooper Temple Clause’. We tend to get a lot of compliments about how we fuse elements of dance, hardcore, punk, rock and pop into one seriously mean mother of a sound.
All experienced musicians ranging from the age of 19 to 30, we have been together for around 2 years and in that time, accomplished a lot for a band who have ‘done it on their own’.
We have: -
Self funded and self promoted a UK tour
Gigged extensively across the country at some very prestigious venues
Been tour support for; The Automatic, The Rifles, Talons and Pulled Apart by Horses
Made around £3000 on merchandise and demo sales
Had our selfmade video for ‘I Like to Gamble’ shortlisted for a NME Shockwaves Award (at the very early stages, but none-the-less – a great fea)
Recorded our first demo at the legendary Sawmills Studio (Muse, Charlatans, Oasis)
Signed to an independent label for 6 months, and then pulled out due to us maximising our progress with them (thanks to a clause within our contract)
Most recently we have recorded our new EP with iForward Russia! frontman Tom Woodhead. This is due to be mastered in January 2011 by Tim Turan (Marilyn Manson, You Me At Six, Aerosmith,Young Knives and a whole host of others) and ready for release in March 2011.
