The Drive is an arbitrary sign-system that points to the metaphysical motivator that drives an individual. The only reason it 'points' at such an abstract phenomena in the first place is because e have assigned it with meanings and values. The content is inspired, and it is to that which has inspired me that this sign system points, referring to both itself as a text, and the existential quality, with which we have placed great value. The songwriter is an independent recording artist who enjoys playing at open mic nights around the county.
