About Trap Floors
M & Pandemon began a writing partnership five years ago, which lead to the duo forming and touring with various bands across the UK. In October 2009 an amalgamation of creative ideas and a mutual admiration for influential enigmatic artists Boards of Canada, Massive Attack and Tom Waits nudged the pair in the studio to begin recording as a twosome under the guise Trap Floors.
The results: Dreamlike soundscapes evoking both the serene and the sinister whilst being consistently enhanced by a brooding trip hop muscle.
Since releasing their debut EP, ĎA Hospital for People with Nervesí in August 2010, Trap Floors have played a host of successful live shows including a headline slot at the Birmingham Arts Festival. This performance was also the debut of a recently recruited member on vocal duties: Holly Jeffery, who provides a sultry yet fragile presence to the hypnotic backdrop.
2011 has plans for EP number two, a debut music video with Film Ficciones and more engrossing live performances. Keep your eyes and your ears open for Trap Floors.
