VOE out-weird everything this side of 70’s rock riffs and the rest of today’s rock herd. They have the determination to thunder down fresh creative highways through rock’s roadblocks with their bruised knuckle blues and fractured rock.

Vault Of Eagles began with sisters Mari and Hetty Randle’s intense love for the music of bands like Mudhoney, MC5, Acid King, Omar Rodriguez, John Frusciante, Juliette Lewis, Meat Puppets, and is the driving force behind their beautiful ugly trailer park symphonies.

The band formed in October 2009 with the concept of Mari’s low-down dirty yet transcendental rush of contemporary guitar energy and dark, poignant vocal sound, combined with Hetty’s deep pulsing bass-style and vocal harmonies. This formed a sound firmly rooted in rock but extending beyond into dark and psychedelic realms.

Inspiration comes from a junk collage of ripped ideals in defiance to boredom and apathy, the desperate want for something more real than the over-processed, vacuous pop culture and disposable society. This is shown in their love for performing and collaborating with like-minded musicians, where they met drummer Scott Ewins who fitted perfectly with their rabid power rock concepts.

Bassist Hetty’s artwork is intricately linked with Mari’s lyrics and these two powerful elements come together perfectly to create something more than just another band.

The concepts behind these songs relate to where you find yourself within artistic work where stylistic innovation is no longer possible, where all that is left is to imitate dead styles and to speak through the mask.
