War/System

War/System was formed in Feb 07 by Pat (voc), Dave (guitar) and Al (drums), they were joined in March by Jon (bass) and are based in Worcester. Featuring ex members of Terrorain, H8 Target and Impact, and have many years of experience. Their first proper gig was in Bristol on July 1st 07, at a sold out gig with 80’s punk legends Subhumans, after this many successful gigs and a well received CDR single. In late Oct 07 they parted company with Al and recruited new drummer to make a more dynamic live and studio impact in the form of Liam from a local death metal band to take the next step. This line-up recorded a 7” single for US label Burrito Records and a track for Angry Scenes Vol 3 in Feb 08, followed by several dates in Florida in March 08. Back from the States they soon parted with their drummer as there was a clear gap in his political outlook.
With luck they managed to recruit a powerhouse of a drummer in the shape of Sean who just happened to be jamming with some mates in the next practice room. Debuting in Sept 08, supporting Driller Killer from Sweden and with a handful of new songs. Nov 08 saw a UK tour with No Fucker and Murder Suicide Pact both from the States, unfortunately No Fucker missed the flight so it was just two of them. Regular gigging was to follow till the end of the year. Jan 09 saw them return to the studio to record a split album with Descent To Hell from the Netherlands, and out on Angry Scenes Records in May of the same year (to date this the best selling CD on the label). Steady gigging and writing continued and they were joined by a second guitarist and multitalented musician Tomo in Sept 09, to thicken their live sound help out with writing and arranging of songs. Heavy gigging continued for the rest of the year. 2010 started with a track on the compilation album called Angry Scenes Vol 4, and appearance at the prestigious Scumfest in London this May and many other gigs along the way. New release is promised before the end of the year with D.F.A from Brazil.
