Wes Dance

A singer-songwriter from Worcester, UK, Planet Earth, who has been writing songs since the age of 14. After hearing Bob Dylan at a friend's house, Dance dropped his punk rock influences, and began a journey soaking up influences that include Gram Parsons, Jack Kerouac, Neil Young and The Band.

This journey into roots rock music and literature has led Dance to record the album 'Penance' - with fellow singer-songwriter, Phil Bridges, producing - that pays tribute to his heroes, whilst simultaneously creating something that is "majestic" and "mesmerising" (Will Munn, Rhythm & Booze)

Dance has shared a stage with the likes of - Christopher Rees, Rod Thomas, Emily Breeze, Nigel Clark, and The Post War Years.

In May 2010, Wes was put forward by BBC Hereford & Worcester to play the Wychwood Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse, after being selected from a panel of judges that included Bethan Elfyn of BBC Radio 1, Tom Robinson from BBC 6 Music, Elisa Bray of The Independent newspaper
