About ZEBEDY RAYS
Worcestershire’s ZEBEDY RAYS are an intense new band that are set to unleash themselves on the UK indie scene… They're a combination of dirty guitar riffs and an onstage energy that is bursting at the seams.
Lead singer Adam Hickman is as enigmatic as any of the great frontmen of the last 50 years and has a vocal that shrieks out psychotic lunacy! - Next up is bass player Danny Meigh who thunders out the basslines that align perfectly in-sync with drummer Josh Powell the ferocious 'engine-room' of the band holding it all together. Combine all of that and you have a high-octane rock n’ roll fuelled musical BEAST.
Although more energetic and raw, comparisons have started to be made with Tennessee rockers the Kings Of Leon, and due to their raw and dark edges likewise punk rock legends The White Stripes
Now newly armed with ferocious debut single “John Esli Davies” recorded by the mighty Paul Tipler (Idlewild/80s Matchbox/Forward Russia) they make their debut release thru the TOO PURE singles club, part of the Beggars Group, in September 2010 on ltd edition 7'inch vinyl and mp3 download.
The video for the single has just been shot by a hot young new team from the National Film And Television School in buckinghamshire and is also set to be absolutely HUGE.
Zebedy Rays are a band that are about to land into the mainstream on a seriously LARGE scale... so brace yourselves folks cos it's just a matter of time before everyone elses catches on, AND, if this debut is any representation of the album that is yet to come then they have the potential to be absolutely MASSIVE..........
