The Artrix, Bromsgrove
About The Artrix
Artrix is a versatile multi disciplinary arts centre with a 300 seat Auditorium, a spacious Dance Studio, which can be converted into a 60 seat (approx.) performance space for small group acoustic music gigs, spoken word events and small scale drama productions, meeting rooms and a visually stunning Foyer/Gallery.
The auditorium’s balcony and side galleries give it an unusual intimacy, while its flexible central seating can be retracted to provide a dance floor. A striking feature of the building is its height and structure, which provide the acoustic qualities needed for chamber and orchestral music performances (there is a Steinway piano which can be hired) one session and for amplified music or surround sound cinema the next.
Artrix promotes a good number of its own shows, but all parts of the building can be hired, including the Auditorium and Studio by performers / promoters wishing to stage shows.
